This machine is used to measure the friction coefficient of shoe soles in order to evaluate the slip resistance performance of footwear. During sole rubber compounding, different types and amounts of anti-slip agents may be added, resulting in varying friction coefficients. This equipment can accurately measure and compare these differences, providing a reliable basis for formulation development and material R&D.
Test Method
Place the specimen on the test surface (using glycerin as a lubricant). Apply a specified load, then move the test table horizontally relative to the specimen by applying a transverse pulling force. Measure the dynamic friction force during movement and calculate the dynamic friction coefficient accordingly.
