Bangladesh's textile industry is export-led, with exports accounting for approximately 6.8% of the world's total. Bangladesh is the world's third largest exporter of textiles and clothing after China and Vietnam. According to the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association, clothing accounted for more than 80% of Bangladesh's exports in fiscal 2023, reaching about $47 billion. In terms of raw materials, Bangladesh is also a leading exporter of jute commodities and is rich in raw hides and skins. A large amount of leather and leather products are exported to different countries around the world, and it is the sixth largest exporter of leather and leather products in the world.

 

Liang Pengcheng, executive vice president of the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and vice chairman and general manager of Beijing Tygest International Exhibition and Display Co., Ltd., delivered a welcome speech at the promotion meeting. Liang Pengcheng said that at this International Textile Machinery Exhibition, nearly 1,500 high-quality textile machinery manufacturers from 24 countries and regions around the world gathered together to display high-speed, intelligent, and green technologies in an exhibition space of 160,000 square meters. The theme of new textile machinery technologies and applications, as well as the new market links, new application scenarios and new competitive advantages presented by the equipment side driven by digital technology.
