  The cupping tester is suitable for evaluating the resistance to cracking or separation from metal substrates of coatings (single layer or matching system coatings) of paints, clear paints, and related products under standard experimental methods. After gradually deforming, the indentation test is carried out to evaluate whether the coating passes or does not pass. It is also possible to gradually increase the depth of indentation to determine the minimum depth at which the coating has just cracked or started to detach from the substrate.
