The GB/T33728-2017 standard specifies the test method and evaluation of the static decay time of textiles, which is suitable for all kinds of textile fabrics, and other film materials can be used as reference. The electrostatic attenuation performance tester is an evaluation instrument, and Standard Group (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. is the manufacturer. Customers in need are welcome to inquire.

The static decay time refers to the time required for the voltage on the pad sample to decay to a given percentage of its initial value. After charging the sample to 5000V, disconnect the power supply, and the voltage on the sample is attenuated by grounding, and the time required for the voltage to decay to 500V is measured.

Test device:

The electrostatic attenuation tester is composed of a high-voltage generator, a non-contact electrostatic field strength meter, a timer, a sample fixture, a metal shield and a display.

Experimental conditions:

A: The temperature is 23±3℃ and the relative humidity is 12±3%;

B: The temperature is 20±2℃, and the relative humidity is 35±5%;

C: The temperature is 23±3°C and the relative humidity is 50±5%.

When other test environmental conditions are used, they should be noted in the test report.

Sample preparation:

If necessary, wash the sample according to the 4A procedure in GB/T8629-2001. After washing, the sample is dried at 60°C for 1 hour, or the number of times approved by the relevant party is washed and dried.

Randomly sample 3 pieces from the sample, and the size of each piece is (70±5)mm×(140±5)mm. When the samples have different characteristics in the latitude and longitude (straight and transverse directions) or the front and back sides, or the characteristics cannot be determined, separate sampling is required, with 3 samples per group. The above-mentioned samples should be allowed to stand for no less than 24 hours in the specified test environment.

test program:

1. Fasten the sample to the clamp in the metal shield. Ensure that the sample is parallel to the probe. The exposed area of the center of the clamp should not be less than 2500mm2, and the sample should be de-charged to the zero position. Then close the metal shield.

2. Adjust the high-voltage generator and apply voltage to the sample to stabilize the sample charged to 5000V. If the sample cannot be energized to 5000V, record that the sample cannot be energized, and stop the test.

3. Stop energizing the sample, start a timer and ground the sample at the same time, read the time for the sample voltage to decay to 500V and record it, stop the test when the decay time is greater than 60s, and record the test result as greater than 60s.

4. Adjust the high voltage generator and apply voltage to the sample to stabilize the sample charged to -5000V. If the sample cannot be energized to -5000V, record that the sample cannot be energized and stop the test.

5. Stop energizing the sample, start a timer and ground the sample at the same time, read and record the time when the voltage of the sample decays to 500V, stop the test when the decay time is greater than 60s, and record the test result as greater than 60s.

6. Test the remaining samples according to the test procedures of 1-5.

Result evaluation:

Take the large value of the electrostatic decay time of the positive and negative voltage as the test result, and the result retains two significant digits, and the unit is s. If the test time exceeds 60s, it is recorded as >60s, and if it cannot be pressurized to 5000V, it is recorded as not applicable (N/A). If necessary, the electrostatic properties of textiles can be evaluated according to the following table. If there is a difference in the decay time of the positive and negative voltages, the evaluation will be made according to the result of the lower level.

The above is the detailed content of the electrostatic attenuation GB33728 test of the static electricity performance of textiles. Of course, if you want to know more about it, you are welcome to consult.
