Textile antistatic properties are the items to be tested for factory use, and need to meet the requirements of the relevant standards to be considered as qualified products, the standard group (Hong Kong) Limited R & D engineers said, textile antistatic test methods are mainly the following.

01. Friction charged voltage measurement method

Principle: Under certain tension conditions, make the sample and standard cloth rub against each other, to the highest voltage generated at this time and the average voltage evaluation. Note: When the sample front and back electrostatic properties are different, both sides should be measured.

02. Friction charged charge measurement method

After the sample is rubbed with static electricity, it is put into a Faraday cylinder and the total amount of charge is tested.
Surface Resistance Tester
03.Impedance measurement method

Select two points at a certain distance on the surface of the specimen, contact them with electrodes, and test the inter-pole resistance. It is commonly used in the evaluation of antistatic performance of dust-free clothes, computer room antistatic clothes and carpets.

04. Human body with voltage measurement method

It is used for the test of antistatic performance of carpet, automobile fabric and other decorative fabrics.

05. Electrostatic adsorption test method

Make the fabric friction charged, test the fabric electrostatic force resistance gravity in the metal plate attached to the time.

06. Electrostatic decay time measurement method

Add a certain voltage to the specimen (usually 5000V), test the voltage induced by the specimen, and test the time used to decay half of the charge.

07. Walking (simulated walking) test method

Simulate the way people walk on the test specimen, shoes and specimen friction charged, test the voltage carried by the human body. Usually used as carpet anti-static performance test.

08. Half-life measurement method

The principle is to make the specimen charged in the high-voltage electrostatic field until stable, disconnect the high-voltage power supply, so that the voltage through the grounded metal table natural decay. Test its voltage decay for half of the initial value of the time required. Half-life performance technical grade requirements: A level ≤ 1.0S B level ≤ 5.0S C level ≤ 15.0S. Anti-static work clothes should reach A-level indicators, daily clothing (functional) should reach B, C-level indicators.

09. Ash absorption test

The friction charged specimen will be close to the dust to determine the degree of dust adsorption.

10.Friction charged decay method

Japan's antistatic fabric test method standard, add a certain voltage (usually 5000V), with cotton and wool abrasive cloth and the specimen automatically rubbed, while the output voltage and curve, to get the half-life and static voltage. Can scientifically test fabrics containing conductive fibers.

Fabric friction charge tester is used to test the charge surface density of protective clothing and other fabric products under laboratory conditions to assess the electrostatic properties of protective clothing after frictional form of charge.
