Taber abrasion meter test procedures and maintenance procedures

The taber abrasion tester is used to test the abrasion resistance of leather, plastic and other materials by means of rotary grinding, using different types of abrasive wheels to rotate and rub on the sample to test the abrasion resistance of the material, which is a test equipment developed and produced by our company Shanghai Qianshui Precision Electromechanical Technology Co.
 
Applicable standards:
QB/T2726-2005, ASTM D4060, ASTM D1175, D1044, DIN53754, 53799, 53109, 52347, ISO5470, GB/T4085.
 
Test procedure
 
Clamping of specimens:
1. Place the cut specimen on the test bench in accordance with the standard requirements.
2. Keep the specimen flat, tighten the compression nut and spacer, and fasten the specimen fixing ring with a hexagonal spanner.
Taber Abrasion Tester (Double-Head)
Clamp the abrasive wheel and weights.
1. Attach the pre-ground standard wear wheel to the inside of the front of the balance arm and tighten the compression nut.
2. Clamp the corresponding weights or balance weights according to the required pressure.
3. Attach the corresponding abrasive wheel in accordance with the requirements of the corresponding standard for abrasive wheels of different materials for testing.
 
Maintenance procedures:
1. After each use of the instrument, first turn off the power supply, remove the sample under test from the equipment, then wipe off the dust and stains on the instrument with a clean dry cotton cloth to completely recover the normal state before use.
2. The temperature of the environment where the instrument is placed should not be too high and the relative humidity should not be too high.
3. The instrument should be cleaned externally once from time to time when it is not often used, and powered up from time to time to avoid causing dampness in the wiring and undesirable conditions.
