Because the plastic runway is laid in outdoor, and it faces the damage of direct sunlight, high humidity, high temperature and rain all year round, so the requirements for the plastic runway must be able to resist certain ultraviolet ray ability and weather aging ability when studying it. Synthetic runway surface is commonly known as plastic runway. This new plastic runway is mainly used in various athletic tracks, and the main material is composed of polyurethane prepolymer, waste tire rubber, mixed polyether, EPDM rubber granules or PU granules, pigments, additives and fillers. Since it is an outdoor plastic product, and it faces various environmental tests in outdoor all the year round, so the plastic runway must do xenon accelerated aging test to verify the aging performance of plastic runway.

In the national standard GB/T14833-2011, Article 5.8 of the determination of the durability of surface materials provides in detail that after the plastic runway is made into a finished product, a piece of sample is taken for xenon arc lamp accelerated aging test. Among them, the xenon lamp aging test must be carried out using the xenon lamp aging test chamber, the test conditions of the xenon lamp aging test chamber: accelerated aging for a total of 168 hours, the interior of the box to maintain a high temperature of 80 ℃, the plastic runway specimens into the xenon lamp test chamber for testing, spraying the cycle of spraying 10 minutes, stopping 11 hours and 50 minutes, and then spraying 10 minutes, stopping 11 hours and 50 minutes in this cycle, the total irradiation of the xenon arc lamp is 3000MJ/㎡.

The above xenon arc lamp accelerated aging test on the xenon lamp aging test chamber requirements are high, generally common xenon arc lamp accelerated aging test temperature will not be higher than 70 ℃, this is because in our daily life environment is unlikely to appear higher than 60 ℃ ambient temperature, so most of the material xenon arc lamp accelerated aging test experimental temperature are in the 50 ℃, 60 ℃, 65 ℃ these three temperature points. The reason why the plastic runway has such high aging temperature requirements is because the plastic runway is under the direct sunlight all year round, and close to the ground, in the summer high temperature environment, the surface of the ground because of heat absorption and athletes in the above sports friction causes the surface temperature of the plastic runway is much higher than the temperature of the air, so this standard provides for the aging test temperature of 80 ℃.

Because most of the xenon lamp aging test chamber is to W / ㎡ as the unit of irradiance, and the total irradiation of xenon arc lamp 3000MJ / ㎡ converted into W / ㎡ is 8333.33W / ㎡, and then 8333.33W / ㎡ divided by the xenon arc lamp accelerated aging time 168 hours is equal to 4960W / ㎡, and then 4960W / ㎡ divided by the surface area of the filter is equal to Xenon arc lamp irradiance when accelerated aging, that is, W/㎡. (Calculation formula can be referred to: 1W = 1 joule / second (J / S), 1 watt-hour (W-h) = 1W × 3600s = 3600J 1 kWh / degree (kW-h) = 1000W × 3600s = 3600000J).
