What is a xenon arc lamp test chamber and how does it work?

The working principle of the xenon arc lamp test chamber is to use the spectrum emitted by the xenon arc lamp to simulate the full spectrum of sunlight, including ultraviolet, visible and infrared light, while the temperature, humidity, rain, dew and other parameters are controlled to simulate different climatic conditions, such as high temperature, high humidity, condensation, darkness and so on. The material under test is placed in the test chamber, and after a certain time and number of cycles of accelerated aging test, the weathering performance of the material can be observed and evaluated, such as color change, gloss decrease, cracks, fading, chalking, etc.

 

 

1. according to the characteristics and requirements of the material under test, select the appropriate test standards and test procedures, set the parameters of the test chamber, such as temperature, humidity, light time, dark period time, the number of cycles, etc.

2. fix the material under test on the test frame in accordance with the prescribed way, put it into the test chamber, and connect the temperature sensor and other instruments.

3. Turn on the power of the test chamber, start the xenon arc lamp, and start the test according to the set procedure.

4. In the test process, regularly check the operation of the test chamber, record the data, and observe the changes in the material under test.

5. At the end of the test, turn off the power of the test chamber, take out the tested material, and carry out the corresponding evaluation and analysis.
