Product Information:

The geotextile-bentonite cushion is a finished waterproof soil mat with excellent water-retention performance. The Geotextile-Bentonite Cushion Permeameter is used to determine the permeability coefficient of bentonite waterproof blankets under specified pressure and time conditions. Under a given hydraulic gradient, a small seepage occurs in the bentonite blanket. By measuring the seepage volume through the sample and the sample thickness over a specified period under a given pressure difference, the permeability coefficient can be calculated.

Features

(1)Uses a 1+2 configuration, offering a single main testing station with two additional auxiliary stations.

(2)The workbench is made of stainless steel, providing a clean appearance, good water resistance, and rust prevention.

(3)Tests are performed using pneumatic loading, requiring no electricity, ensuring safety and reliability.

(4)Equipped with imported high-precision pressure regulators, ensuring accurate and stable pressure control to meet test requirements.

(5)The loading circuit is designed reasonably, and air valve adjustments are simple and convenient.

(6)Improved measurement accuracy, with seepage volume precision up to 0.05 ml.

(7)Integrated vacuum system facilitates vacuuming during sample preparation and testing.

(8)Includes a negative pressure degassing device, ensuring water entering the sample is degassed, yielding more accurate test results.

(9)Test chambers are movable, providing greater operational flexibility.

(10)Uses a three-way valve as the main component, simplifying operation.

(11)Reserved interface for automatic testing, allowing an automatic testing device to record pressure, measure permeability, and display results automatically.

Calculate permeability coefficients from recorded data.

Maintenance Information

Clean sample chambers and tubing after each test to prevent clogging.

Inspect seals and connections for leaks or wear.

Calibrate pressure and flow meters regularly for accurate readings.

Store the equipment in a dry, dust-free area to prevent corrosion.

FAQ

1. What is the Geotextile-Bentonite Cushion Permeameter used for?

It is used to measure the permeability coefficient of geotextile-bentonite cushions under specified pressure and time conditions, evaluating their waterproofing performance.

2. What sample sizes can the device accommodate?

The standard sample diameter is 100 mm, with a maximum thickness of 50 mm. Custom sizes can be accommodated upon request.

3. How is pressure applied during testing?

The device uses pneumatic loading to apply confining and end pressures, which are continuously adjustable up to 600 kPa and 550 kPa, respectively.

4. How accurate are the permeability measurements?

Seepage volume is measured with a precision of 0.05 ml, and pressure is displayed with an accuracy of 1 kPa (0.1 psi).

5. Which standards does the permeameter comply with?

It conforms to SL/T 235-30-2012. JG/T 193-Appendix A-2006. GB/T 35470-Appendix B-2017. JC/T 2054-Appendix A-2020. and ASTM D5887-1999. among others.
