DZK-A3 Upstream and Downstream Particle Counter

The DZK-A3 upstream and downstream particle counter is a supporting instrument specially designed for multi-pass tests used to evaluate the filtration performance of filters (filter elements).The instrument uses two high-precision laser sensors based on the light-blocking (optical extinction) principle to simultaneously and independently measure the particle concentration at the upstream and downstream sides of the multi-pass test system. Through this process, the filtration efficiency and filtration ratio (Beta ratio) of the filter element can be determined.

The system fully complies with the requirements of the following standards:

GB/T 18853-2002 (ISO 16889:1999)–Hydraulic fluid power filters–Multi-pass method for evaluating filtration performance of filter elements

ISO 19438–Diesel fuel and gasoline filters for internal combustion engines–Determination of filtration efficiency and contaminant holding capacity using particle counting method

Parameters

The particle counter used is the Qinsun DZK-A3 Particle Counter.

The sampling flow rate of the particle counting sensor is 20 mL/min.

The test bench control software communicates with the particle counter in real time.

The measurable particle size range of the particle counter is 4 μm(c) to 70 μm(c), calibrated according to ISO 11171.

The particle counter is installed inside the test bench and secured within the electrical control cabinet.

Equipped with a color LCD touchscreen, enabling simple and convenient touch operation.

Fully compliant with ISO 16889:1999 (GB/T 18853-2002) and ISO 19438 standards.

Flexible operation: users can set counting time, interval time, and total test duration. Upstream and downstream measurements can be configured independently or simultaneously.

The instrument can be set to “Initial” mode to verify the performance of the filter testing system.

The instrument can also operate in “Counting” mode, enabling it to function as a bench-top particle counter.

A built-in printer allows direct printing of test reports and filtration ratio results.

Built-in Chinese input method, allowing Chinese annotations in test reports.

Supports RS232 serial communication with an industrial control computer, enabling remote control of the particle counter and data processing by the industrial control system.
