Product Information:
The Foam Resilience Tester is a cost-effective instrument specifically designed for testing soft materials such as sponge, foam, rubber, and other elastic materials. It mainly works by allowing a steel ball to freely drop onto a specimen of flexible foam plastic or other elastic materials and measuring the rebound height. The instrument is primarily used to determine the rebound performance (rebound coefficient) of polyurethane elastic materials in testing applications.
Technical Specifications
Power supply voltage: 220V, 50Hz
Instrument test resolution: 1/10.000 second
Rebound coefficient measurement range: 25%–80%
Ball rebound accuracy: < 1.5%
Steel ball drop height: 460 ± 0.5% mm (GB standard), 500 ± 0.5% mm (ASTM standard)
Steel ball diameter: Ø16 −0.05 mm
Automatic calculation of average rebound height
Automatic calculation of average rebound rate configuration
LCD display with Chinese interface
Working Principle
After molding, materials such as sponge, foam, and rubber should be stored for at least 72 hours before testing. Prior to testing, the specimen must be conditioned for at least 16 hours in an environment with a temperature of 23 ± 2°C and a relative humidity of 45%–50%. The test is then carried out under the same controlled environmental conditions to ensure accuracy and consistency of results.
