Applications:

The tester is widely used in:

Textile Quality Control: Batch testing of fabrics for UV and thermal resistance.

R&D: Developing UV-resistant outdoor apparel, industrial textiles, and protective fabrics.

Forensic Analysis: Assessing garment degradation under light and heat exposure.

Education & Training: Demonstrating textile aging and degradation mechanisms.

Third-Party Testing Labs: Certification of fabric performance under international standards.

Industrial Materials Testing: Evaluating technical fabrics, composites, and polymer textiles.

Product Information:

The Textile Light and Heat Performance Tester is a multi-functional environmental simulation instrument designed to evaluate the durability of textiles under combined light and thermal stress. It measures colorfastness, tensile strength retention, and thermal shrinkage resistance for apparel, upholstery, and industrial textiles. The instrument integrates programmable light and heat exposure cycles, real-time monitoring, and automated data acquisition to provide precise, reproducible results.

Standards

ISO 105-B06: Textile colorfastness to light

AATCC 133: Thermal endurance of carpets

GB/T 8427: Colorfastness to artificial light

EN ISO 105-E04: Colorfastness to perspiration

ISO 4892: Light exposure calibration

ISO 17025: Sensor calibration

Product Features

Dual Stress Modes: Simulates combined sunlight and high-temperature environments, or isolates heat for thermal shrinkage testing.

Advanced Detection: Includes UV-Vis spectroscopy for color analysis (400–700 nm), real-time thermal imaging, and AI-based crack/severity detection.

Automation: Motorized sample rotation (0–30 RPM), programmable multi-stage cycles, and automated condensate drainage.

Data Accuracy: ±0.5 ΔE color measurement precision, NIST-traceable irradiance calibration.

Safety & Convenience: Heat-resistant gloves recommended, UV-blocking goggles required, stackable design for lab or bench use.

Test Procedures / Maintenance

Prepare fabric samples (cut to size) and clamp them securely in the rotating frame.

Select the test mode: combined light + heat or isolated heat, and program cycle duration and temperature.

Start the test; the system will automatically rotate the sample, apply light and heat, and record data.

Analyze results using integrated software for color change, tensile strength retention, and thermal shrinkage.

After testing, use the self-cleaning system to remove condensate and wipe down sample holders.

Periodically check irradiance calibration, lamp intensity, and thermal sensors to ensure accuracy.

Wear heat-resistant gloves and UV-blocking goggles during operation, and maintain a safe clearance from exhaust vents.
