There are two types of xenon lamp aging test chamber tubes: air-cooled tubes and water-cooled tubes. Mainly distinguished by the cooling method of its lamp tubes. Generally speaking, the lifespan of water-cooled tubes is shorter than that of air-cooled tubes, mainly due to their enormous heat generation. Although water cooling efficiency is also high, relatively speaking, long-term high heat is fatal to their lifespan. The effective service life of water-cooled lamp tubes is about 700 hours; The effective service life of air-cooled xenon lamp tubes is approximately 1200 hours.

The service life of the xenon lamp tube is limited, and it is a consumable in the xenon lamp weathering chamber. Therefore, when the xenon lamp tube cannot reach the Irradiance intensity, it needs to be replaced. The following are the common steps for replacing the lamp tube in the air-cooled xenon lamp aging test box.

(1) Turn off the main power supply of the test chamber and remove the cover plate on the top of the equipment.

(2) Remove the fixing screws from the insulation board of the lampshade separately.

(3) After removing the copper screws and nuts that secure the lamp tube, loosen the nuts at both ends of the lamp tube, and then remove the bottom of the lamp tube.

(4) Due to the fact that the lamp tube is air-cooled, the heat dissipation of the lamp tube is carried out by a blower, which pressurizes the relatively cooled air from the outside of the lamp tube into the lamp tube, taking away the heat from the surface of the lamp tube. At the same time, the pressurized cooling air also carries a certain amount of dust. After accumulating for a period of time, the dust will adhere to the surface of the lamp tube, reducing the transmittance, and adhering to the surface of the lamp tube will affect the heat dissipation of the lamp tube. Therefore, according to the working environment on site of the xenon lamp aging test chamber, regularly wipe the lamp tubes and filters. Carry white gloves and wipe both sides of the filter and the surface of the lamp tube with 5% medical alcohol and a dust-free cloth.

(5) After installing the lamp tube, tighten the wiring post, cover the insulation board, and lock the screws.

(6) Turn on the power supply in the test box to test the Radiant intensity.

Attention:

When the lamp is installed correctly, the trigger electrode should have good contact with the lamp, but do not apply too much force to the lamp. If the trigger electrode has poor contact with the lamp tube, remove the lamp tube and gently bend the metal part of the trigger electrode to ensure good contact. If the contact between the trigger electrode and the lamp tube is poor, the lamp tube may not light up, or the lamp tube may be damaged due to arcing between the trigger electrode and the lamp tube. If the trigger electrode exerts too much force on the lamp tube, it can cause the lamp tube to rupture.
