5.1.5 Note the maximum force applied before the slider detaches from the zipper chain.
 
5.2 Slider lock strength test:
5.2.1 Secure the slider on the zipper chain.
5.2.2 Attach the slider to the grip attachment of the UTM.
5.2.3 Apply a steady and continuous force in the opposite direction of the slider movement.
5.2.4 Note the maximum force applied before the locking mechanism of the slider breaks.
 
5.3 End stop strength test:
5.3.1 Cut a section of the zipper chain, including the end stop.
5.3.2 Attach one end of the zipper chain securely to the grip attachment of the UTM.
5.3.3 Attach the end stop of the zipper chain to the sliding attachment of the UTM.
5.3.4 Apply a steady and continuous force in the opposite direction of the end stop.
5.3.5 Note the maximum force applied before the end stop breaks.
 
6. Reporting
6.1 The test results shall include the description of the tested zipper, including its type and dimensions.
6.2 The test results shall include the forces applied during the tests and the corresponding outcomes.
6.3 Any deviations from the test methods shall be reported.
6.4 The test report shall be documented and retained for reference.
