7 operating procedures for the test of the wear tester

The 7 operating procedures of the wear testing machine for testing:

1. Rinse aggregates of different specifications with water and dry them in an oven to constant weight.

2. Weigh the aggregates of different specifications (accurate to 5g), weigh the total mass, and put them into the cylinder of the attrition machine.

3. Select steel balls so that the quantity and total quality of the steel balls meet the specified requirements. Add the steel ball into the steel cylinder, cover the cylinder cover, and tighten the seal.

4. Adjust the counter to zero, and set the required number of revolutions. For cement concrete aggregates, the number of revolutions is 500 revolutions, and for asphalt mixture aggregates, the number of revolutions should meet the specified requirements. Start the attrition machine and rotate at a speed of 30r/min~33r/min to the required number of revolutions.

5. Take out the steel ball and pour the worn sample into the receiving container from the feeding port.

6. Sieve the sample with a 1.7mm square-hole sieve, and sieve out the fines crushed by the impact in the sample.

7. Rinse the gravel left on the sieve with water, dry it in an oven at 105℃±5℃ to constant weight (usually not less than 4h), and weigh accurately.
