The test result is composed of test data and units! There are sometimes many choices for this unit, and the inconsistency of the units used will inevitably lead to differences in the representation of the detected values. Therefore, knowing the units used by the testing items will help us to understand the testing more accurately. Below I will briefly sort out the common inspection items and the conversion relationship between units.
 
Color fastness regular items
The color fastness rating is mainly based on the gray scale color card.
Grayscale swatches are:
American (AATCC) standard gray card
International (ISO) Standard Gray Card
Japan (JIS) Standard Gray Card
China (GB) Standard Gray Card
The gray card has a total of 5 grades and 9 grades; they are grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, of which grade 5 is the highest and grade 1 is the lowest, and the middle half grade can be assessed.
Except AATCC adopts 3.0, 3.5 decimal point representation; ISO, JIS, GB all use 3, 3-4 "-" representation.
【Color fastness to light】:
ISO, GB, JIS standard:
The rating is compared with the rating of the corresponding blue standard wool cloth exposed to the sun as the test result. The blue label wool cloth is divided into grades 1-8. In principle, the test samples are exposed to the sun together with the blue label of the corresponding grade. Taking level 4 as an example, the result should be > level 4, = level 4, < level 4.
AATCC standard: The rating is still based on the contrast gray sample card, and the result indicates the same color fastness as the conventional AATCC method.
