Common materials used for disposable medical gowns are polypropylene textile bonded fabrics, new polyester fibers, polymer coated fabrics, SMS nonwovens, and polyethylene breathable film/nonwoven composites. Currently, most medical gowns are made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a high-performance polymer that not only resists water pressure, but also allows water vapor to escape through micro-pores. The relevant properties of these materials are as follows.

1. Polypropylene fabric
The material can be antibacterial, antistatic treatment, but its hydrostatic pressure resistance is relatively low, blocking the efficiency of virus particles is poor, can only be used as sterile surgical gowns, disinfection bag cloth and other general protective supplies.

2. New polyester fiber
It is similar to traditional textiles that can be treated with anti-static, anti-bacterial, anti-static, etc., but its hydrostatic pressure resistance is relatively low and the efficiency of blocking virus particles is low.

3. Polymer coated fabrics
There are many kinds of protective fabric coatings, such as PVC, polyethylene, etc.. This kind of protective clothing is waterproof, good anti-bacterial performance, can be reused, but poor moisture permeability and uncomfortable. High-end laminated fabrics are PTFE, super waterproof and moisture permeable composite fabrics.

4.SMS non-woven fabric
Fine fiber diameter, cloth fluffy and soft, fluffy, small filtration resistance, good effect, good hydrostatic pressure resistance, but low strength, poor wear resistance.

5.Polyethylene breathable film
Non-woven composite material, good effect on stopping the penetration of bacteria and liquid, with good tensile strength, good breathability and comfortable wearing.

How to test the Thermal Radiation of medical protective clothing?
The Protective Clothing Thermal Radiation Tester is a device for evaluating the thermal movement of protective clothing against heat and fire when A flame with a certain heat density (80KW/m²±5%) is applied to the underside of the sample woven from the cloth and other Through the calorimeter installed on the upper side of the sample, the heat transmission rate (time: second, temperature rise: °C) with time is measured, so as to evaluate the thermal insulation performance of the material. It can also be used to judge the allowable value of burns suffered by the human body when protective clothing is worn when exposed to flames.
