The Circular track method fuzzing and pilling tester is used to test the condition of pilling balloons on woollen, chemical fibre cotton, blended, knitted and woven fabrics in order to identify the quality of the product and the effect of the process. The test is carried out by rubbing the fabric against a nylon brush and abrasive, or against the abrasive only in a damped state.
