Material aging is a test that many products must do. According to the test principle of material aging, the test of materials aging in natural conditions is the most accurate. However, due to the factors such as the production cycle of the enterprise and uncontrollable test conditions, it is the most effective method to simulate accelerated aging. Currently, xenon lamp aging test chamber and ultraviolet aging test chamber are the most widely used accelerated aging detection equipment. But their test principles are quite different. The specific differences can be distinguished from the test principle:

1. The UV aging test chamber adopts the fluorescent UV lamp as the light source, which simulates the ultraviolet radiation and condensation in the natural sunlight, and accelerates the weathering test of the material to obtain the results of material weathering. It can simulate ultraviolet, rain, high temperature, high humidity and condensation, darkness, and other environmental conditions in the natural climate. By reproducing these conditions, incorporating them in to a cycle, and automatically completing the number of cycles, the test chamber can be efficient in simulating the natural climate.

2. The xenon lamp aging test chamber uses the xenon lamp to simulate the effect of sunlight exposure, and use the condensed moisture to simulate rain and dew. The test material is placed in the light and tidal air at the set temperature for cyclic test. It can take days or weeks to reproduce the dangers which needs months or years to generate in outdoor life. Artificially accelerated aging test data can help select new materials, improve existing materials, and evaluate how the changes in formula affect the durability of the product.

All in all, xenon weatherproof test is a simulation of full spectrum of sunlight; The UV aging test chamber mainly simulates the damage caused by ultraviolet radiation.
