The TABER ABRASION TESTER is suitable for use on leather, fabric, paper, paint, plywood, leather, floor tiles, glass, natural plastics, etc. In the test method, the rotating sample is supported by a pair of abrasive wheels and a defined load is applied. As the sample is rotated, the driving wheels wear the sample. The wear weight loss is the difference in weight before and after the test.

1. Handle and use by qualified personnel, and clean and maintain regularly.

2. Mount the wheel with the right wheel on the right side and the left wheel on the left side, with the marked side facing outwards (i.e. left side to the right and right side to the left). When the grinding wheel wears down to the perimeter of the label, the wheel should be replaced immediately.

3 When there are no test pieces on the test plate, do not lower the test lever arm and turn on the switch to allow it to idle so as not to injure the grinding wheel and parts.

4. The test lever arm and vacuum arm should be held lightly and not directly hit the test surface to prolong the service life of the grinding wheel.

5. When counterweighting the block, the weight must be the same on both sides to ensure the accuracy of the test value.

6. The vacuum cleaner must be switched on during the test to prevent dust from adhering to the grinding wheel.

7. The test lever arm and spindle of the test plate should be lubricated with a small amount of oil at all times.
