Factors Of Fabric Water Pressure Resistance
2018/02/28
The index of hydrostatic pressure is one of the important indexes of waterproof and permeable fabric. Hydrostatic pressure refers to the resistance of water through the fabric. Under standard atmospheric pressure, the fabric is subjected to continuous rising water pressure until the back of the fabric is seeping. At this point, the pressure value of the measured water is hydrostatic pressure. The more hydrostatic pressure the fabric can withstand, the better waterproof or leakproof.
The hydrostatic pressure performance of textile has been paid more and more attention to the growth of textile market demand and the improvement of technical index requirements of this kind of products.
Water-proof and wet-proof fabric waterproof index depends on the following factors:
1) the tightness of the fabric. The increase of the distance between the yarns will directly affect the water pressure. The stronger the fabric structure, the better the anti-seepage performance.
2) size of coated film aperture. The larger the diameter of the membrane, the worse the hydrostatic performance of the coated fabric.
3) the size of contact Angle 0. When 0 > 90. When the fabric has water resistance, the water pressure value of the fabric increases with the increase of 0.
4) coating thickness. The coating is too thin, the coating agent is not easy to be continuous on the surface, and the water resistance of the coated fabric is reduced. The coating is thick and the water resistance of the fabric is improved.
5) thickness of fabric. The thicker the fabric, the greater the wet resistance, the greater the water resistance.
6) the thickness of the yarn. For the tight fabric of moisture absorbent fiber, the yarn radius is reduced due to the existence of capillary effect. It can improve the water resistance of the fabric.
7) the performance of warp and weft yarn. Under the action of water pressure, the elastic yarn is easy to elongate, which leads to the formation of the gap between adjacent warp and weft yarn. The water droplets are more easily permeable, which makes the water pressure of the fabric lower.
8) coating quality. The whole cloth is required to be uniform, with certain fastness. The better the coating quality, the better the anti-seepage performance.
