Usually, the xenon arc test chamber can be used to select new materials, improve existing materials, or evaluate durability changes after material composition changes. The practical use of xenon arc test chamber is not only to simulate sunlight environment, but also to simulate different environmental conditions such as climate environment, and to study the changes of materials in different humidity environments. Generally speaking, the xenon arc test chamber is divided into four kinds of simulation tests, but what are the uses of the four kinds of simulation tests in production and life?

1. simulate the full sunlight spectrum
Xenon lamp aging test chamber measures the light resistance of materials by exposing them to ultraviolet (UV), visible light and infrared light. It uses a filtered xenon arc lamp to produce a full sunlight spectrum which is consistent with sunlight. Xenon arc lamp with reasonable filtering treatment is a way to test the sensitivity of products to longer wavelength ultraviolet and visible light in direct illumination or sunlight through glass.

Xenon lamps emit light by xenon discharge. There are: long arc xenon lamp, short arc xenon lamp, pulse xenon lamp and other varieties.

The radiation spectrum of long arc xenon lamp is close to sunlight, which is suitable for large-area illumination and can also be used as light source in cinematography, color photographic plate making and copying At the same time, it can also be used as simulated sunlight and artificial aging light source in color inspection of cotton fabric, aging test of drugs and plastics, plant cultivation and photochemical reaction. In addition, high power long arc xenon lamp can also be used as continuous laser light source.

Short-arc xenon lamp, also known as spherical xenon lamp, is a point light source with extremely high brightness, its color temperature is about 6000K, and its light color is close to sunlight. It is a light source with good color rendering in gas discharge lamps at present, and is suitable for film projection, probing, train front and simulated sunlight.

Pulsed xenon lamp is a xenon lamp that uses stored electric energy or chemical energy to produce high-intensity flash in a very short time. In the middle of 19th century, F. Talbot used spark gap discharge as the exposure light source of high-speed photography, which was an early artificial pulse light source.

2. the light resistance test of indoor materials
Due to long-term exposure to fluorescent lamps, halogen lamps or other luminous lamps, products placed in retail outlets, warehouses or other environments will also experience obvious photodegradation. Xenon lamp aging test chamber can simulate and reproduce the destructive light produced in such commercial lighting environment, and accelerate the test process with higher intensity.

Light resistance refers to color stability or the ability of pigment to resist sunlight without fading or changing color. Paintings with true light-resistant pigments are generally not exposed to the open sunlight, and the paintings are placed indoors and are not exposed to direct sunlight.

3. simulate the climate and environment
In addition to the photodegradation test, the xenon lamp aging test chamber can also be used as a climate aging test chamber by adding water spray option to simulate the damage effect of outdoor moisture on materials. The use of water spray greatly expands the climatic and environmental conditions that the equipment can simulate.

In response to the humid weather in the south, doors and windows should be opened as little as possible to reduce the entry of humid air from outside into the room. In the rainy season, the humidity in the air may reach more than 90%, so it is necessary to open less doors and windows and ensure a certain ventilation. It is necessary to equip a dehumidifier in humid climate. When the air is too humid, the dehumidifier has a good dehumidifying effect, which can reduce the absorption of water vapor by bedding furniture to a certain extent.
Water vapor is an important energy carrier in the atmosphere, and it is also an important greenhouse gas. Therefore, its spatial and temporal distribution has a considerable impact on weather and climate, such as latent heat exchange, radiant cooling and heating, cloud formation and rainfall, thus affecting the growth environment of animals and plants. Its change is the main driving force for vegetation change and has a certain impact on agricultural production. Therefore, the research on humidity is becoming more and more important. In addition, relative humidity also has a great influence on industrial processes, and also has a systematic influence on solar warming rate by affecting the optical characteristics of aerosols, which is meaningful for the climate effect of aerosols; Of course, relative humidity also has certain influence on visibility. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to study the large change trend of relative humidity under the background of global change for understanding the change of environment and adjusting production.

4. Relative humidity control
Relative humidity refers to the percentage of water vapor pressure in air and saturated water vapor pressure at the same temperature. Or the ratio of the humidity of wet air to the possible high humidity of zui at the same temperature. It can also be expressed as the ratio of the partial pressure of water vapor in wet air to the saturation pressure of water at the same temperature.

Xenon lamp aging test chamber provides relative humidity control function, which is very important for many humidity sensitive materials, and many test protocols also require humidity control. Humidity is not only the knowledge of production engineering, but also seems to be closely related to people's life.
