Air Permeability Tester consists of measuring head, control box and user interface. It can be used as a stand-alone system in the plant or integrated into other measurement systems or quality systems.

The quantitative range of paper determined by Air Permeability Tester: 10~350g/m2, and the measurement range of air permeability value: 0.2~2100 s/ml.

Measuring principle:
A stable vacuum is generated by VR1 to form a closed environment between the paper and the measuring head, and a pressure difference of 1kPa is generated by a 100g weight. By calculating the time it takes for the outside air to fill the rubber bladder (MB1) through the paper, it can be obtained after conversion. The air permeability value of the output paper.

Air Permeability Tester Live Data Deviation Troubleshooting:
During the production process, it was found that the real-time data curve of the online air permeability meter showed a slow upward trend, and gradually moved away from the center line. The most common cause of this phenomenon is air leakage. This fault mostly occurs at the air source pipe interface of the detector head, which can be solved by replacing the air source pipe or re-tightening.

The downward deviation of the real-time data means that the detector head is blocked when sucking air. The biggest reason is that during the production of paper, the filler on the paper falls into the detector head, forming a blockage, which prolongs the time required for air extraction, and the real-time data is higher than the actual value. It is too small, so many manufacturers now install the probe on the top of the paper web to avoid this problem.
